I did what you said and all I see is a box with a red X inside it.  Do I need to wait for approval by an administrater?

You should'nt have to. Try this, go to the photo bucket site, and click on the photo you want to show.  In the bottom right hand corner, ther is a box with three lines.  click on the third line, labled IMG Code, and copy and paste the code.

All that happens when I right click on the red X in the box is that it takes me to photobucket.com home page.

Maybe I forgot to paste the item, what is meant by pasting an item?  I can take apart a car engine and put it back together or an electrical motor but I am lost when it comes to computer terms and methods.

as in copy and pasting. You click the mouse's right button, and a little menu comes of the click, you then left click, copy or past.  Copying, copys the highlighted and paste moves it.

What do you mean when you say copy or paste?  I hate to say this but the only paste I know of has to do with glue, and copying refers to a photocopier.  I am familiar with the mouse functions but don't understand what to do after that.   The most I know with computers is how to get on websites, order stuff on-line, fill out job apps, and email.

Do you mean that I have to hold the mouse button and drag the image to the page?

Lee : I think you have to place the mouse over the URL & right click with the mouse, which in turn highlights that URL or code. Then after it's highlighted you right click & a little menu drops down & you click on copy. Then, close that all out & go to  where you post & right click & click on to paste. It will put it there & if not, then you have to use the IMG method.

you click the right button, then a box pops up and you hit copy, then when you reply and are ready to pu it in the reply section you right click again and hit paste this time.....hence the term copy and paste...

its not to bad once you understand....good luck!

Take your mouse and place your cursor at the beginning of the text in the box under your picture after selecting the "view all" mode, then click and hold the left mouse button, while pulling your mouse over the text of the IMG Code . This should highlight the text. Next release the left mouse button. Now, with the cursor over the highlighted text, right click the mouse for options, and select 'copy'. Now in the forum, right click your mouse again, and select 'paste' and you will have copied and pasted the text, which should allow you to share the pictures.

From Photobucket You need to copy the information in the box at the lower right marked IMG info. They make it easy just click on the box in the lower right marked IMG, it will reply by saying "copied"  Then come to CTT forum add a reply and paste the infomation by holding down the Ctrl button again and the letter V.  That's what I did and I was able to link a photo from your Photobucket account to this message.  Regards,  Dave

Thanks Dave!   However I did everything except the last step to paste the photos.  It can be very challenging when you first post photos to the forum!

The first photo is of my Reading Alco diesels, the second one is the Ogreville Stop with Shrek caracters, the third is one of my Santa Fe El Capiton passenger cars with the upper level in the background.

Lee, nice shots.  Is that Reading engine set the one with the DC motors?  I  have a set that I got not too long ago.  I was wanting to add TMCC to it.  I do need to add some weight to it to increase tractive effort.

The Reading locomotives are Lionel and numbered 300 & 304, don't think they are D.C. as I have been using a Lionel KW transformer to power them.   The track is 027 with 3R Plastic ties underneath to fill in the gaps.  These engines would do better with a little weight added.   Personally I am hoping to buy some Williams diesels to replace the Lionels with.

Thanks Alexw.   I have about six powered Williams engines and four unpowered engines, have a few Williams frieght cars and a passenger set.  The more expensive Williams passenger cars are very nice and handle curves well, I have a less expensive set of Williams passenger cars that I had to repair wires on a few times.

My layout is powered by; a Lionel 275 watt ZW, a 250 watt Z, a KW, and an MTH Z1000, auxillary power for lighting by two 12 volt D.C. regulated transformers, the upper level house lights are on the KW auxillary power.
