K-Line Transformer question
Posted by magicman710 on Friday, June 8, 2007 8:19 PM

I have a k-line transformer I got in a set a few years back, and I need to ask a question about it. I dont know the name of it, but a 1996 catalog refers to it as "power pack" and "power supply". On the transformer itself, it says its a "hobby transformer" My question is that it only has 2 terminals, not labled track nor accessory, is it ok to use this as a power supply for accessories? Its output is open circuit 17 vac 20va max output.

Thanks,

Grayson

Sure.  Just don't load it more than about 1 ampere.  If it lacks a circuit breaker, you can add an external fuse.
