Colber operating crossing shanty
Posted by lysle on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 12:13 PM
I recently aquired a tin plate crossing shanty ( little man comes out and waves a lantern) that I thought was a Marx but later found out it is a Colber product.  I only know that Colber made look a like Lionel products in the late 40s and early 50s. I would like to know it this is a collectable item and if so what its worth may be.  This the first time I have found any Colber items.

Three have sold on eBay in the past two weeks. Two without an original box went for $10.50 and $15.50. The one with an original box, pushbutton, track trip and Colber guarantee paperwork sold for $51.
