The Track Power Controller needs the Command Base.

The Lionel Track Power Controller needs the Command Base, even in conventional mode.

This is good, because the PowerMaster is not as reliable in conventional mode as the more advanced Track Power Controller.

It requires more cables to operate. Remember the cables.

I left out that technical fact on an earlier post.

Yes, a TPC is the wisest way to go.
