selling prices

I have an N scale Kato EMD SD-40 Engine in mint condition, it is done up in the gray and red Burlington paint scheme and I have all the packaging. Due to some slight finacial and space problems im forced to give up model railroading for a few years at least and this engine is the only thing i have that is worth anything. I was wondering how much I could expect to get for this engine from a local hobby shop or if im better off selling it over the net.

Off hand it is probably worth $40 to $50 . Local hobby shops don't really give that much for "used" models . So, I would try to sell on the net . You might get more money . Try ebay !!
