Lake affect snows have not dampened my town of Meyersdale,PA's annual Veteran's Day parade. The mayor and town council pulled out all the stops, and managed to bring the world famous Budweiser Clydesdale hitch to bring up the rear of this year's event.
Actually, this scene is the culmination of my burgeoning interest in collectable toy soldiers, researching old photos of parades in Cumberland, MD, and attending Keyser, WV's Veteran's Day parade last year.
Included in this scene are Gen. Washington (Britains), 3 revolutionary soldiers (AMHS), a Union marching band (Frontline Figures), the Royal Welsh Fusiliers (Britains), U.S. Marine color guard and drum & bugle corps (Britains), and the Clydesdale team (ERTL).
Very nice !! Nothing like a parade !! You also have a nice train layout, too !! Thanks for sharing & hope we see more pictures !!
Thanks, John

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Hey thanks for the kudos John, Chief & Red.
I will be placing some more layout shots on this post in the next several days, as soon as I get my daughter, J, to assist Dad with photobucket.
Jim, I learn something everyday. I didn't know ol' U.S. raised Clydes. Actually my wife bought the team at a Timonium train show.
In response to your requests, here are some additional pics of my layout. Let's hope the crew of Extra 7616 are looking sharp. Happy Halloween!
Very nice layout!

I always thought they were British......I feel so silly.
HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY!
Many thanks to those who have served, and thinking of those that still are.
I have a cousin in the Marines over there in Iraq right now, it feels good to know that there are those that do care and do appreciate the armed forces and all that they do for him.
BTW, I am just loving that bridge seen.
