Here's one of the "abandoned mountain line" (You need to be creative when you change your layout plan after building the mountain and gluing/painting the portals...) This will have a flashing light and ghost sounds (hopefully) when all said and done...

I like the idea of ghost sounds coming from the abandon mine. That is such a good idea!. I think I am going to steal it when I finally get to do my layout :)

Mabey you could do like the glow of a lantern coming from a portal too.

Thanks for the feedback. I still have a few sidings to add, but it is coming along nicely. You know, I have to fight the urge to go bigger. (My wife helps quite significantly in that fight!)

daniels, I was going to put a light in there that would flash as trains passed through in the tunnel above. A nice glowing light (lantern) might be nicer touch...

The roof on the front of my shed started coming off after a windstorm



So I poured concrete on the roof and now all is copacetic



Sunday was a halcyon day. Birds chirping, frogs splashing around…



and the hound on the prowl. But look, BB the beagle is trespassing on the railroad right of way (in far distance). Danger. Danger



BB found that the tracks make a nice pathway to the rabbit convention



But what is that we hear? A train rounding the bend!



BB turns around just in time to see the fast train approaching and she jumps out of the way of the looming train



happy to once again resume her hunt for rabbits

nice pictures to all i forgot my camera this weekend to take photos and evrytime i seen a train rolling by i got mad at myself for leaving my camera as i would have gaotten a lot of great shots to show you guys but i will have it next week when i'm on the road back to cincy to take care of a little more business and a little vacation to. so hang in there with me as i will have them next time. unitl then peace.
