Bench test 022 Lionel switch

I just got a pair of 022 Lionel switches and would like to bench test them but not sure how to connect them. They look great but so does my wife and she doesn't work that well. I would be using a CW80 transformer.

The easiest thing to do is to connect a wire to the center rail and one of the outer rails(but not one of the control rails). You can then connect a wire to the center terminal of the motor and touch it to each of the outer terminals to throw the switch.
