For some cheap detailing, I picked up about 75 cents worth of basswood, chopped it up and made some wooden pallets. [:D]

Here's another "trashy" idea. O scale cardboard boxes. When you "brown bag" it to work, save that brown sandwich bag. And while you're at work, use some company time to take apart a real cardboard box to see how it was made. Then cut you brown bag up the same way. I used 1/4 inch dimensions for this size. Then put some tissue paper in it and consider yourself a cheap and trashy guy.
