?Trucks to fit an old wooden Westbrook boxcar and cattle car?

I got these 2 O scale cars from a huge 2 rail layout I took out of a house about 5 years ago. They have body mounted couplers and I'm wondering if I can mount different trucks that are Lionel compatible without irreversably altering these beautiful cars. Are these cars worth anything to 2 rail collectors? One is marked 1949 and the other 1950.

Anyone,,,anyone? Anyone else heard of a Westbrook car? I tried some older Weaver plastic trucks with solid couplers and metal wheels but they don't clear the box for the fixed couplers. Maybe I can find trucks for these two cars at the train show in St.Paul this weekend.

I've seen Westbrook listed on Ebay several times and advertised in Model Railroader. That's the extent of my exposure. One possible solution might be to run the car between a Kline, Atlas or other car equiped with one scale and one tinplate coupler. Similar to the mixed coupler fixes in other scales. Hopefully you'll find a better remedy.
Best of luck. -Dave
