Who Is Tony Lash?

I see him on all of these forums blasting Lionel and at the same time praising MTH. Now I see him posting MTH shipping dates. Is he an MTH owner, the PR director, or what?

Mr Lehigh Valley Railroad, If Tony is a professional Lionel downer, why does he still collect and operate Lionel trains? We all have our opinions and our favorite manufacturers. So why continue to bash people who do not like Lionel?

Yes he collects Lionel, (well at least some) but because of his close relationship with MTH he never misses a chance to promote the MTH point of view while taking every shot at Lionel that he can. He even posts copies of the judgement against Lionel on his website. (Not to say others on the Lionel side aren't guilty of similar stunts).

His shipping updates are helpful, but his hit and run tatics of posting an anti-Lionel comment then watching the fur fly are manipulative at least.

As for his direct ties to MTH, he is not an employee, may be a financial backer, and is definelty a good friend of Mike on a personnel and professional basis.

On thing worth noting, as a person (I have never met him) he has a reputation as being a friendly guy and a huge promoter of model railroading, often showing off a huge layout he has in the basement of his company (waste management)

Overall he seems like a multi-faceted individual

I must say that link was interesting and somewhat enlightening. The opening line seemed a bit pretentious, but when you get past the nonsense he sounds like a regular train lover, and a pretty good modeler too.
