Haven't been able to access the forums the past few days, finally stopped giving me 404 and 504 errors!Feel like I haven't posted in a while.I've been gradually working on a variety of new things that have wound up in the collection this summer. I decided to take a stab at buying a few HO locomotives I had no personal interest in, with the plan to fix them up and maybe sell them for some funds towards things of more personal interest. Of course, I have to decide how I want to sell them, now I have them mostly done.I also tackled some new additions to the Lionel HO fleet from a month or two back. Mostly duplicates, but a couple cars I didn't already have. My favorite new addition is an 0713 Santa Fe illuminated pullman. I also finally have the 0873 horse car (looks just like the O gauge 6473 but smaller!The cars were all super dusty when I got em, as the pictures show. I took them all apart to wash the shells in the sink, and some of them have started coming back together. The HO milk car needs new doors and a new truck frame and truck springs, but I may just swap in a spare truck I have in the meantime.Found a Lionel 0605 saddle tank swticher on eBay for an OK price that's in the mail right now. Catalogued from 1959-1961. Hoping it's the 1960-61 version since the 1959 motors don't run as well. I have an MPC O gauge 8200 or 8209 saddle tank somewhere that has a similar outline- I took it apart to work on it and then never did anything. Think its still in pieces in a box somewhere -Ellie
Well I guess the Forum's OK now, I was able to get in, stay in, and post so let's see how well it holds up.
I've gotten the impression things are a bit chaotic at "CTT Central" what with the sale to Firecrown AND the "eviction" from the old Kalmbach quarters AND the move to the new digs. As the old cowboy saying goes:
"There's bound to be a lot of tore-up ground where a herd's stampeded!"
It feels like forever since the forum has loaded as fast as it does now! So worth the wait.It'd be lovely if the new folks can put somebody on figuring out some of the forum problems that Kalmbach never seemed to care about fixing (like the inability to change your avatar) but even so, just being able to load and post to the forum at track speed is feeling great!-Ellie

Wow! I tried to reply and it said I had to log on, so I tried to log on using chrome and came back error. ( tried 3 times. ) decided to use my Firefox browser and no problem already logged in. ( I likke using firefox here as it illuminates most the add's that are a pain to deal with.
Any wise one Ebay a seller had a lot of prewar/postwar boxes, 443 Diner which I'm selling just not in here. , The rest are standard gauge, 212 which I sold as no use, 337 again this is for sale else where. ( no I will not say as that would be considered selling in here, anyway it also had the box for the 122 station (1920 - 1930) miissing one inside flap and a slight tear down one side, so for time being my station is in it till I start doing a permanent layout going, also had 512, & 517 ( gondola and caboose which I have cars for so nice addition to the collection:)

Thanks guys! It's getting better, the bruise was about 18 inches long and 12 wide with a strangely heart shaped red spot in the center suspiciously similar to the "ice heart" discovered on Pluto a couple of years ago. Where's Rod Serling when you need him?
Next up are the hiatal hernia, gall stones and enlarged liver discovered last week by a ct scan. I had an ultrasound today but I doubt my PCP will have detailed results before I see him tomorrow morning. I'll let you know.

Yes if you look real hard you can see a end of the one I need to finish up in the top right side of the picture. One day I will shock you all and have the train table cleared off. It is enough so I can run my two standad gauge loops.
Need to clean up train table, need to do so, so I can put carpet down, and mount track permament and be able to do my raised layout for my G scale. soo the plan is standard gauge, O gauge, & G scale. I do have HO but no track and not sure there is enough room unless I do another raise above the G.

A regular batch would use 1 Tbsp glue, 1 Tbsp paint and 1/4 cup baking soda. It would be an effective but slightly fragile way of making snow on your layout.
And my doc says were just going to increase the dosage of my Trulicity from 3mg to 4. No biggie.

Not much going on in the Chugger Barn lately, it's been too blasted hot, temps in the 90's and the Barn's not air-conditioned. I've got four fans of various sizes but they barely make a difference. Even my little swamp cooler barely makes a dent. Summer in this part of Virginia's an inferno and it doesn't go away without a fight!
Went to a Greenberg show in Chantilly week before last, a nice little show and I came home with another 2056 I got a good deal on plus a K-Line Reading express car to go with the "King Coal" passenger set. The show's fun but the drive up to northern Virginia's getting to be a pain.
Evening, yesterday, I purchased another piece of rolling stock from Menards. (flat car 2-pack with Menards truck and trailer), other than that, not much train related going on.
On Monday, I'll be playing wiffle ball with a group of people...So there's that!
I bought a 408E ( remake by MTH with BIL-A-LOCO motors ) and the passenger cars that go with it, got engine in today, cars are suppose to be here Wednesday. Here's a pic of the engine ( Standard Gauge )
