The suit was filed in Federal District Court in Portland, Ore., on Nov. 22, though news of it just came out today. QSI officials aren't even confirming existence of the suit, though the district court office did. We're working to obtain a copy of the complaint, but from what we've been told so far, the suit filed by QSI does indeed claim patent infringement by MTH on electronic train control patents. According to the court, the suit is in its early stages of "discovery," meaning a filing of evidenciary documents from both sides. Deadline for filing these documents is March 22.

We do have a call in to the QSI attorneys, and as soon as we get a copy of the suit or more information we'll be posting a story on the site.

Thanks for the tip, Joe.

Hi Tom,

I read the article this morning. Nice job tracking the issue down fast!
