Technical and Service info needed for 1940 #233 0-6-0 Switcher and 2233B Tender

Recently I acquired a 1940 233 Type I Semi Scale 0-6-0 Switcher with a 2233B Tender. With the exception of the E unit not working and the tender needing rewiring both are in excellent condition. I am under the impression that with the exception of the use of high couplers it is the same loco as the #232 0-6-0. I am also under the impression that the 232 and 233 differ from the previous 0-6-0 switchers in how the wiring for the E Unit was routed. I am in need of the Loco and Tender Technical and service info for this unit. Regards, Brad

The 232 & 233 are the same with the exception of the coupler height.  The 232 was compatible with the 2650, 2750, & 2950 series of cars, whereas the 233 was only compatible with the 2800 series cars, which had different height.  I did a Google search on "Magic Electrol", which is what I think you are looking for.  I am not familiar with your combination of loco and tender, but I am going to assume that there is a relay in the tender to use "Magic Electrol" to control the train.  Below is a link with explanation and diagram:

See if this helps.

Jerry thanks! That is indeed helpful but what I am looking for is the service info, parts diagram, electrical schematic. There is a guy on ebay offering a 29 page booklet on the 227,228,230,etc including the tenders, some of that info may be what I am looking for but the 232 and 233 are just a bit different yet. These are all really sharp locomotives and as quiet and smooth as anything I have from any era.
