574 info and photos?

I'm new to this interesting forum. Great discussion and photos.  I have a large collection of American Flyer S and a number of Flyer O sets and pieces including a pristine 4021 NYC freight set with the original scale die cast cars along with all the other cast freight cars available that year, a boxed 4018 UP freight set with an RDC spur drive 806 Northern and tin plate cars, a 4012 Pennsylvania freight set with tin plate cars, and a Royal Blue freight set with tin plate cars (no chuggers in any of these).

I noticed Ashcat mentioned having a 574 0-8-0 switcher.  I am in the process of restoring one from two different parts engines.  The tender is complete with original paint and no zinc pest damage.  The boiler casting is mostly complete with original paint, but I replaced a small missing section of the front with a piece from a donor 343 shell, and the boiler front is from an early 342 SIT.  The engine frame had some damage to the front and motor mount area and a few cracks but I was able to repair it.  I salvaged 8 wheels.  I am in the process of getting the frame, motor, wheels and linkage to play nicely together, which is tricky because of the swelling in some of the wheels.  I will post pictures at some point.

Anyone have information or photos to share on the 574?
