Asked if this was a repaint his reply no this isn't. To much light rust on underside and the built by lionel looks like it was carefully taped over

I don't recall seeing any original Postwar Geeps with painted battery / horn relay brackets. I guess I could be mistaken.

Not only that, but man is that white paint bright & clean. Kinda hard to believe it isn't repainted.

I don't understand why you are trying to communicate with the seller. Based on his Ebay ID and what he is selling, he probably knows something about trains. He is representing the train as original, so he will either ignore you, or give an answer consistent with it being original.

All train purchases, be it through Ebay, a train show, or even a train store should be treated as "buyer beware". Sure there are honest sellers, but there are just too many dishonest ones to treat a purchase any other way.
And there is always the possibility of an honest seller who makes an honest mistake.

On rare occasion I will write an Ebay seller to point out what looks to be an honest error. Sometimes they respond, other times not.

Just to see what type of seller it is it tells me not to deal with him I hope who ever gets it shoves back to him thru a dispute with ebay where he has to give original shipping back also as theres to many tell tale signs its not what he claims I figured after i replied back that it would be the last ever hearing from him

It seems to be one that could go either way. There are signs of wear on the cab and trucks, yet the white frame is way to clean inside. The Blue color is off but that could be from the lighting.

As I posted earlier, there should not be any paint on the battery / horn relay bracket,. nor on the mounting rivets and insulation that is used to mount it.
There are also rust stains on the fuel tank /. battery cover.
There is various other rust around that just should not be there on a frame that white.
And the frame is way too white and clean for the condition of the body.

Just my opinion, and some of the flaws were already pointed out by others.

In my opinion it is a repaint. Lionel never painted over rivets and the body shell does not look like factory paint to me.
