Williams new F3 engines - No Pictures
Posted by Tower49 on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 2:08 PM

Hey Guys:

I haven't been here in a while, but does anybody know what the new Williams B&M and Erie F3's look like?

Everywhere I look its says "photo not available"

I want to pull the trigger on a the B&M engine, but if it looks like the Williams E-7 B&M I already have, I may forego it.

I'm hoping the new diesel will be in the McGinnis Blue/Black paint scheme.

Any scuttlebutt?

I Agree with you on that !   You wanting McGinnis Blue/Black paint scheme.

I was on the Williams site at lunch today.   I would also take a NYC lighting stripe in the F3 or a GP-9 .

My other question is The True Blast sounds good , bad or otherwise ?

Thanks

I'm assuming you've tried the Bachmann website, or try "Williams by Bachman".  If they don't have any pictures than chances are it's not available yet and may not be for several months into the new year.  You just gotta be patient sometimes.

They MIGHT go with the McGinnis blue/black scheme but that one's kind of obscure compared to the more famous NH one, so I wouldn't assume they would.  But hey, you never know, do you?

Oh, the "True-Blast"  sounds?  I don't own a Williams diesel but the steam sound's pretty good, a basic "long-long-short-long"  whistle sound, and the bell sound's not bad either.  Not elaborite, but what you'd expect in this price range.

For information about Williams use the Bachmann website, then got to Ask The Bachmann; Williams section. FYI, Williams might have something new out in March or April, at east that's what the buzz is over on OGR forum. Could be something for EZ Streets.
