Track and Screws
Posted by RRaddict on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 1:59 PM

Would some one please tell me what kind of screws I would need to secure MTH Realtrax to my layout.  I have 1 inch foam over 1/4 inch plywood, can I just buys screws from my local hardware store or do I need to buy them from my local hobbyshop? Any help will be great.

Can't stop working on the railroad!

Grip Rite Trim head Square drive screws.  I use the 6 x 1 5/8 size.  They have a bolt like pattern that I have seen trackside.

I have used phillips head style screws in the past, but some over time don't "like" to be removed.  The square drive screws come out neatly every time.
