364 loader
Posted by mikep on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 6:15 PM

I just replaced the belt but the problem I am having is the logs barely move up to the top of the loader.  It appears the logs slip on belt rather than being pulled up.  What can I do to have the logs get more "traction"?

Thanks

Are you sure you have the belt installed correctly?  The felt side should be on the outside.  Are the logs actually slipping on the belt or is the belt slipping on the drive wheel?  The usual case is the belt slips on the drive wheel which can easily be corrected by putting a piece of tape on the perimeter of the drive wheel to effectively increase the drive wheel diameter and stretch the belt.  Good Luck...

I found out the hard way, I bought one of these and the belt was on inside-out.  Works a lot better with the shiny side in, not out as stated. Laugh
