202 ALCO correct orange???
Posted by KRM on Monday, February 21, 2011 12:32 PM

I am looking to get the correct color for a Lionel 202 shell. Any help would be nice. Spray would also be nice.

Is there somplace that sells Lionel colors?

 Thanks,

 Kev.

Thanks but checked both sites and did not find year 1957 Union Pacific 202 Orange listed.

I looked up your engine in a greensberg variations book. It was painted orange. My best idea for you would be find someone skilled with airbrushing and paint matching and have them paint it for you again. One guy who may offer you help is CTT's own Len Carparelli. He advertises in the back of CTT magazine under L&L Model train company. Lionel train restoration is what he does.

Thanks Roger. Yeah I have had this 202 since I was 6 it was new in a set and when we were kids we painted the shell to match a Santa Fe 218....well sort of match. The 202s are not of much value but it would be nice to have her back like it should be.

I will look into geting it done.

Tks,

 Kevin
