1835E w/384T Tender for Standard Gauge Lionel Trains
Posted by lionel2 on Monday, January 17, 2011 7:38 PM

I was recently given an 1835E with 384T tender by my father.  It is 100% original, even the wheels.  It is in excellent condition, I would say a C7.  How much are these loco and tender worth?  I was offered $650.00 for the loco and tender to sell to someone.  Is this a good price or should it be more or less?  Thanks.

YES!!! Take the money and run. As a dealer classic period lionel is as dead as dead can be. The communist repro junk has slaughtered the prices of original equipment. As a rule now i only buy Ives and FLyer as its all i can sell. Plus in todays operator oriented market not having the whistle tender is a real drawback!!!

If you are looking for a rare train, ask i might surprise you with an asking price!!! A guy asked if i liked fast track, and i replied i used t-rail. He said eww that old stuff you bolt together???? Ignorance must be bliss!
