Making a S-Gauge layout and using GarGraves Stainless Steel track.  What is the best way to attach power feeders to the track?

Use the Gargraves power clips that attach under the track. Stainless steel may not take to soldering of a wire to it.

You can also use flat spades sold at most stores. Solder is very difficult with stainless

You may want to use off-set spades, as straight spades may require you to drill an oversized hole in the layout board. What I mean is that you will have to drill a hole as large as the spade lug is when using a straight spade, instead of just for the wire. Ran into this problem with Gargraves O gauge track, so that is why I use Gargraves power clips. The Gargraves clips are more expensive but look better if you paint them to hide them from plain sight.

Thanks for the advice. Been using AF track and power clips with the GarGraves track.  But having problems with them working loose or the cars nipping part of the clip.

The old style A.F. power clips(even Lionel universal power clips) have a tab that is too long and gets caught by the wheels of the cars. You can carefully bend it under a little by using two pairs of pliers, one to hold the longer piece and the other to bend the end down.

I tried that, and I guess I bent it too much as I caused a arc-gap and overheated the clip.
