3-rail trucks with pickup rollers
Posted by Simbo69 on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 9:25 PM

I am kit-bashing some 2-rail Sierra coaches to run on 3-rail and have been having a hard time finding a supplier of 3-rail trucks with power pickup rollers for the lighting.  I found a set of two caboose trucks that worked perfectly - the longer coupler arms were just what I needed for clearance.  Does anyone have a supplier they could recommend?  Thanks!

Thanks.  I looked and found trucks that look like they could work.  I'll give them a call today to find out more detail and place an order.

If their Lionel 3 rail trucks don't be surprised to pay over $35.00 a piece for the trucks new. Try to find an older passenger car and use those trucks as the cost may eat you up on new trucks. I just tried to replace a 3 rail truck assembly on a caboose a couple months ago and that was what I was quoted by a parts supplier I use.
