AAR - Association of American Railroads

There are 3 general styles of RR truck sideframes (that we as modellers should keep in mind).

archbar - A common early century design.  Some of these lasted under MOW and caboose fleets.

Bettendorf - middle century design.

roller bearing - most modern design that you will see trackside today.
