Traction

Hi guys, I have hudson and I can't keep the rubber traction to stay still. After a few rounds it starts to come off. Any trick or pointers?

The only thing you can do is replace them. If you give the item number of the hudson I can find the part number for them. DO NOT glue them back on.

You can glue them on.  Just don't use epoxy.

Use Walther's Goo(a rubber cement), or a drop of CA(super glue, Eastman 910, Crazy glue, etc.).

The CA has great tensile strength and will keep the tires on, but it has very poor shear strength, so when you want to change or remove the tires, the glue will chip/knock right off the wheels leaving them clean.

The rubber cement obviously just rubs off.

Just break down and buy new traction tires!!  I too have tried to glue traction tires back into place but it didn't work for me, only new traction tires solved my problem. I have a 4-8-4 steam engine and gluing the traction tires back on only made them spin on the track.
