Awesome work on that 2 in 1 whistle.
That really puts the heat on green97probe to finish, photo and post his results. LOL.
I was unaware of the 2 in1 whistle. I researched it a little after I saw your post and determined that it produces two distinct whistles.
Are the two whistles a diesel and a steam engine?
I am interested in purchasing a diesel whistle and a steam engine whistle to go along with my two engines.

Nothing new for me just took a couple of shots of the layout this morning, my 2046 and a set of Williams 027 passanger cars pulling into Moonville Station.

Bill, Love them old Doodlebugs, everytime I see them and Trollies I wish I had enuff room to dedicate a line for them thru an old fashioned area of mixed residential & commercial. A center green space and tracks with a street and buildings on either side.
Had rain earlier in the week so yardwork was canceled, , so I worked on some loads for gons.
Turned out ok, but they can be taken out so the gons can pull double duty come Christmas, Easter, etc, etc, etc.
The Herefords in the background is a small part of the herd that is the next project.
Hopefully will have friday photos to post later.

Thanks! The 2 in 1 is the sound of a steam whistle, near or far away. The way it does it is there is a baffle that is operated by a solenoid that covers the whistle outlet to "muffle" the whistle and make it sound far away. Green button is near and read is far away.
Chief - Older gentleman in the blue hall had several tables of false front buildings that would look nice around that obstruction. Good looking engine.

That 762 looks amazing. I hope my 577 comes out like that.

Jim, super job on that whistle restoration. I've done some similar jobs and folks aways comment on the possibility of me "wrecking the value" of the piece. Your photos illustrate that financial value is not everything... I'd much rather have that same whistle you have after the restoration than before. Nice work.
Paul, I've said it before but I always enjoy seeing your photos. I love what you have done with ordinary trains and track. I'd much rather look of photos of your layout than many of the other high-rail super detailed layouts with the latest and greatest trains. Also love the work that your buddies Frank and Jabbat have done with similar trains when I see their layout photos.
Doug, I laughed when I saw your gondola loads and thought "great minds think alike." I've done the same exact thing on my layout with gondolas and flat cars. The LCL crates that K-Line used to include with their gondolas look much better when they are not moving all over the place in the gondola so I've made frames for them to slip into that easily fit inside the gondolas. Great idea.
