Hey guys i just got my new mikado 6-38616 from the 6-30050 set. My issue is, is that i can get the bell and whistle to work, as well as all functions of the tmcc but no dynachuff, crew talk, or coupler release sounds. I did have issues with all sound at first. I opened the tender up and made sure all the wires and plugs were seated and that fixed the bell and whistle. I cant see anything else loose. Any ideas? Thanks
Ok i got it, i tried reseating the railsounds board but that didnt work. I took my voltmeter to see if i could get current across the on off switch for the sounds. I couldnt in either directions so i must be bad. I hard wired it on and it works great now. Hope this help someone else.
Now that is a new one. Seems odd that a bad on/off switch would allow whistle/bell sounds to work but not the chuff sounds. I was kinda wondering if maybe a stuck chuff switch would have exhibited this type of behavior.

Hi,
I'm giving my two cents worth, only because I've experienced other problems with a TMCC engine, but found out of the electronic components within the engine.The sound unit for bell and horn/whistle is independent from the engine sound unit.
