The dominant theme for last friday's museum run,

All visitor responses were positive, good thing !

On a bit of a less serious note Willard must not have been feeding Ben and the boys very well, always thought it was "don't bite the hand that feeds you".

Thank you folks for the pictures; a great selection as usual.

I thought I would share some pictures of the end of the season harvest here in the Northwoods of Wisconsin.  We have been having a string of days with above average temperatures and below average rainfall.  As the days count down in September those of us who have gardens expect the frost to hit at any time, bringing the growing season to an end.

This week the management of the Blue Board Central Division of American Flyer Lines was called upon to bring in some heavy duty lumber cars to help move produce from the fields to market.  They were a little surprised at the cargo.

The farmer told them that these were the smallest of the shipment to be sent.

It makes me wonder just how big those things are in O gauge feet.

Scenes from the Railfest 2009 at Steamtown National Historic Site in Scranton, PA over Labor Day weekend... Of course, it's not a real railroad fest without O gauge trains. :) The group showcasing their trains this time was the Anthracite Hi Railers in Moscow, PA Here are a few shots of their excellent winter scene... And in conclusion, the O gauge caboose for the Erie RR passes by, while the Lehigh New England caboose sits outside.
