2009 Lionel Intro Cars in Hobby Lobby Yet?
Posted by SchemerBob on Sunday, August 16, 2009 4:14 PM

Has anyone seen any of the 2009 Lionel introduction freight cars in Hobby Lobby yet? I'm mainly interested in the BNSF auto carrier, and I know they had the Conrail one from last year. I've only been in one Hobby Lobby since the 2009 cars were shipped (about a month ago) and they didn't have any yet.

Bob, not sure about your question, been awhile since I have been in HL.  I did want to mention that you should check their web site each week as every other week they offer a 40% coupon for anything in the store.  That is the best time to buy from Hobby Lobby.  I have seen their prices being about 125% of suggested retail.  I even brought in the catalog and was told "this is the price, not what Lionel says".  With the coupon, it does become worth it.

Yep I know about the 40% off coupons, it'd be a deal to get a car at that price, except every time I have one Hobby Lobby never has the car I want...Whistling Seeing as they had all of the 2008 intro cars (that were in the Lionel R-T-R catalog), I was curious as to if they had any of the 2009 cars yet. So far, I haven't seen any, but the last time I was in Hobby Lobby was in mid-July, so things may have changed.
