Williams True Blast II-Making it Work
Posted by Milanodan on Saturday, July 11, 2009 10:52 PM

A new engine I bought has the True Blast II system.  What do I need to make it work?  My old KW amd ZW don't have a "Bell" button.

You want a Lionel 610-5906-001 Sound Activation Button, aka 5906; or, better still, a pair of them when using a modern locomotive or tender with "postwar" transformers.

You can probably find details for making your own under the Search function on this forum, or by exploring  Google, Yahoo or Bing, etc.

When I first bought and played with my new Lionel TMCC U30c Diesel engine I kept jiggling the whistle/horn toggle switch of my ZW and some how I activated the engine's bell, but just a brief sound.  I tried repeatedly again, but to no avail and stopped, so as, not to destroy my ZW.

Definately, buy the Lionel sounding device which bf mentioned.

Yes, I'm going to get one or two.  With 6 can motors and some rubber tires, the K-line F3 ought to be able to climb a pretty steep grade.
