Wheel Set for Weaver Car
Posted by marxalot on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 9:45 PM

Howdy,

Last Thanksgiving when visiting the train display in Cincy at the old CG&E building lobby I purchased a commemorative car the operating group sells. They were all out of cars with 3 rail wheel sets so I took what they had. I am wanting to replace these wheels with a proper Weaver 3 rail type. Could someone point me in the right direction as far a locating these trucks/coupler sets? I asked "on-site" at a couple of hobby shops but no one has them.

Thanks.

Sounds like you got a Weaver 2 rail car.  Call Weaver Models and order a 3 rail pair of trucks & couplers.  It's an easy swap, 1 screw for each truck.

www.weavermodels.com   or call  570-473-9434

PS.    If there's no hurry, look in Ebay under model trains/O scale/weaver.  Trucks are sold there frequently.

Only by the grace of God go I.
