Special Event in NE Wisconsin
Posted by kehoesj on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 5:34 PM

The traveling Viet Nam Wall Memorial will be making a  5 day stop at Marinette, Wisconsin (located 50 miles NE of Green Bay) July 2 thru July 6 at the Marinette High School.  In recognition of those who gave their lives, we will be honoring the liberty and freedom we enjoy and the veterans who secured our "independence".  As a further support of our veterans and those families who may be in town for this event, we will be running trains in the historical National Registered Milwaukee Road Depot on State St.  Northeast Wisconsin "O" Gaugers, along with the Wisconsin & Michigan Model RR Club (HO) will be operating modular layouts for Friday afternoon 7/3, all day 7/4 and mid-morning to mid-afternoon on Sunday 7/5, open for public viewing, especially for family kids.  Have a Safe Holiday Weekend and if you are in our vicinity, we encourage you to visit the Wall and take in the other holiday festivities planned in Marinette, Wisconsin.
