Montgomery Ward "Sound O Matic" O Gauge train set from 60s or 70s?

This came in as part of auction block in my warehouse. The Train Set comes in a large square box and the transformer has "Marx & Co" Girard PA on it. I assume that Sears and Mont. Ward as well as other department stores may have O train sets made for them by either Lionel or other manufactures. Every in the set is O27 but the engine is a old heavyweight but has plastic instead of metal. The track is 3 rail. I have no idea what to do with this, Do I ?  Keep it has whole set or break up the set up and give the enigines and cars to my club. I only paid 35.00 for the set.

If I were you I would keep it in tact, especially if it has the original box with it. There was a manufacturer named "Allstate", which was actually Marx, that was in the Sears Christmas catalog in the late sixties and early seventies.
