What year did this locomotive come out? Or is it yet to be released?

It's one of lionel's new VISION engines ... if I'm not mistaken .

That's in HO scale so it can't be Vision Line.

No it's "O". Look carefully it's riding on Fast track. What you see is a prototype. They modified a current steam engine to show what the effects will be like.

Tell me about it!! The ringing bell to me looks kind of cheesy.

I took that video at one of Lionels town meetings. This eninge is a prototype that was retrofitted with the Vision features. The new engines is due out in Oct 2009. They are in the 2009 catalog.

 

I thought the bell was very good.
