Williams Trainmaster parts? Conversion?
Posted by JohnZX2 on Saturday, February 7, 2009 11:53 AM
I acquired a Williams O gauge FM Trainmaster dummy unit about fives years ago. It has been in the box for four years now and has a few problems that include a broken truck, broken truck side, and rusted wheels. Is there a place that I can acquire parts for it, and would it be cost worthy to convert it to power? Also, is it possible to convert it to 2 rail? Thanks, and sorry for the noob questions.

You can probably get the replacement parts as well as power upgrades from the Williams/Bachmann website.

Converting to 2rail would probably require non-Williams trucks & motors. Maybe 3 axle Atlas power trucks could be used but I wouldn't want to stake my life on it.

Bachmann sells conversion kits and reverse boards for what you are looking to do. I would contact them they might even be able to do it for you. They are right done the street from my HQ and been there plenty times. They are real nice and help full with parts for williams stuff.
