I picked these up at Menards today - MotorMax American Graffiti series. On sale for $4.99 each.

Pretty nice. And the price is right. Menards is up in New England, right? Sweet Bay is their equivalent in Florida. I wonder if they carry them here. I'll have to check them out.
WalMart carries them too. I also picked up a maroon '32 Ford Coupe and a '41 Ford Pick Up.

Not sure about NE, but I'm in IL. I've never been able to find 1:43 vehicles at Walmart near me. Guess it depends on the store - I'll check some other locations.
Don, not sure if it makes a difference, but we have a "super Wal Mart" hear in south Georgia. I have found them several times in the "toy" section under vehicles isle. Have picked up some Ertl construction equipment as well as a number of cars and some military pieces. Usual price is between 4-6 dollars. I have also picked up a bunch of mid 50's convertibles for less than $2.
At the store in my area the cars were 50% off ($2.50 ea) and they also had a selection of 1:43 nicely detailed fire trucks of various old vintages. High level of detail on the trucks and I think I paid $6 or $7 ea.

Got mine in PA for 6.97, little high but they looked cool. At WalMart.

In Connecticut you can find them in Big Lots stores .

I was able to buy a couple of fire trucks on sale at Menards and now need to find a decent firehouse kit. I like the laser cut kit but it only has room for a single truck.
those are great
Don, I haven't found these lovely items in Menards nor Super (or regular) Walmart in our part of Illinois north of you. Menards this season had larger cars (like 1:18) that were not cheap - and Walmart still doesn't have any of the nifty vehicles that Dennis and others mentioned finding. I have found some interesting 'farm' and construction vehicles in a 'Farm and Fleet' which is like a rural super-store (near Woodstock) but again they weren't inexpensive.
