Q about Lionel operational cars.
Posted by Neo Fender on Saturday, December 20, 2008 8:09 PM

Can operational cars (tender w/ whistle, lighted caboose, searchlight car) be “run up” without the engine on the track?  I have a set from 1950 that hasn’t been run in over 50 years.  I’d like to check the lights before moving on to the engine.  This will give me an opportunity to check the transformer output too.

Thanks.

Yes as DAVID said.  Make sure your bulbs are tightened down.

Have fun,
