I run conventional. I have two loops that will have seperate controls. The two loops cross over with four pairs of 0-72 switches. I have powered the outside loop. I straightened the power tab on all the switches and covered all metal with electrical tape. I used a Dremel to open the space between the power rails. I took all the jumpers out so the switches will have their owen power source. No power to the switches yet. Only the outside loop is powered. Everything worked great. Now for some reason one pair of switches have their lamps on and power is getting through. Not enough to run a engine on the inside loop but enough to make a Lionel Halloween cars sound to come on. Why are the lamps lite and how could the power now leak. Any ideas?
I found the problem. As thin as they are, the copper plates were touching on one set of switches. Took them all apart and put a peice of tape on the edge. All is fine. Still don't understand why the lamps lite with no power.
