364 Log Loader wiring question.
Posted by troystat on Thursday, December 20, 2007 9:49 PM

I am hooking up a postwar 364 Log loader and it looks like in the instructions in the K-Line service manual that has all the old instructions the B and C posts on the accessory hook up to the ground post and the A post is hooked up to a hot post.  When I do this the body of the loader is Hot and if a metal engine touches it you get a short. This does not seem right.  In the insturuction manual from 1952 they show the B and C posts contected with a 364c switch and A and C posts going to 12-14 vold posts on a transformer.  Any clarification would be of great help.  Thanks and happy holidays.

1. Hook up one wire from terminal A on the loader to the ground post on the transfomer.

2. Attach one of the wires from the terminal B to one side of the accessory switch.

3. Attach the other wire to the other end of the switch and attach it to the hot post on the transformer.

4. Attach the final wire to the remaining C terminal on the loader to the hot post on the transformer.

The problem was is that the A connects to the ground, and C and B go to the hot.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, I noticed that that was the way it is shown in the 1956 instructions
