Wiring A Lionel 8E
Posted by GCMRR on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 11:36 AM

Hello, I'm trying to rewire an 8E for someone. I appers to have an early type of e-unit in it that I haven't seen before. Right now it is wired to run forward only. Does anyone have a wiring schematic for this engine? Thanks.

I have an 8e on the shelf that was rewired years ago. It looks like it would be pretty tough. Search the net for pendelum reverse unit wiring diagrams. if you cant find any ill tear mine apart and take some detailed pictures for you. They are fairly complicated compared to an e-unit.

If you are looking for a rare train, ask i might surprise you with an asking price!!! A guy asked if i liked fast track, and i replied i used t-rail. He said eww that old stuff you bolt together???? Ignorance must be bliss!

Olsen's Toy Train site, in  the "Library".  They don't have an 8E, but the 318E has the pinouts for the pendulum reverse unit.
