3366 Circus Car
Posted by lionel2 on Thursday, November 22, 2007 4:50 PM
Hello, i was wondering if the circus car needs an OTC lockon connector to make it work?? and does it also need a 364C on/off black switch??...I am unable to locate my original OTC and On/off switch....trying to find some replacement originals....Is the car and fences on the 3366 supposed to be white or cream color??...mine seems to be like off white...and the doors on the car are almost yellow...is this normal??...one last question...how much is this 3366 worth even though it is yellow and whatever and missing the 364C and OTC lockon??...i have no box either...thanks.

lionel2;

Same set up as the 3356 operating horse car. OTC Contactor and 364C Controller. I imagine you could use any type of on off switch in place of the 364C. There is only one pickup shoe so it is conceivable that you could use an uncoupling section with control rails. When you push the unload button, one of the control rails is "hot" and the other is ground. If you have the UCS section with screw terminals to connect the controller, you could wire the on-off switch to activate the control rail. Be sure, though, that you do not use the control rail that is also wired to the uncoupler magnet. Once you know which rail gets the "hot" connection you could place the corral so the car would line up properly. As far as color of corral and car, the circus car probably has the same problems that the white milk cars suffers from and that is discoloration of the plastic over the years. Hope this helps. Happy Thanksgiving!!

Ok, I think I got it.  I will need just a 394C on/off controller and that OTC lockon, I think i might have an OTC lockon, but it might not have the clips for it because i am using them for my horse corral set, the one with black horses.  Might just have to get some more little clips so the horseshoe on the car's truck reaches the OTC lockon.  Thanks for the movie.  Good to see how it all works, thanks for the help.
