What color ties did Lionel use in 1973?

I purchased a Lionel Milwaukee Special set with everything except the track. I want to complete the set with the track and was wondering what color ties did Liionel use in 1973, when this set was manufactured.

I know they used black ties in the 50's and gray ties in the 60's.

Thanks!

Thanks, Butleryard. IF YOU CAN READ THIS, THANK A TEACHER! IF YOU ARE READING THIS IN ENGLISH, THANK A SOLDIER!

 Hello Butleryard!

I have this exact set & The Ties are Brown with a simulated black wood grain that runs the length of the ties. Check out ebay & see what you can find there or maybe an older established train shop in your area may have them. Take Care.

Brown.  And as mentioned above, there is a woodgrain striping in black.  The track is also of slightly lighter gauge, and usually has rolled, hollow track pins instead of the solid cut-wire pins used before 1970 and returned to in the late 1970's.
