Great news, njal!  How did you find out it shipped today?  Is Trainz notifying people of their shipments?

Thanks.

I got an E-mail from Trainz today also. Stated the set should arrive in a few days.  The grandaughters will be thrilled.

I just got a surprise shipping notice from Charles Ro for a 25 pound package.  I haven't ordered anything else lately, so I'm betting it's Harry Potter.  Should be here Saturday or Monday Big Smile [:D]

Well, my train store, The Train Station in Mountain Lakes, NJ, still hasn't received anything yet.  I just got off the phone with them, and they said that a "small" amount of their order is on the way from Lionel.  By small, they think between a third and a tenth of what they ordered is on the way.

Are we in for a rerun of The Polar Express availability only in the Harry Potter theme?

Already seen a ad for the set in a UK model mag for £195.

Looks like this set is going to be huge. Glad I got it pre-ordered back in May.

Picked up my Lionel Harry Potter Hogwarts Express set this afternoon at Star Hobby on Route 50 between Annapolis (MD) and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge out of a "partial" shipment.

I was advised that he has a few in stock right now that were not pre-ordered; i.e., not already sold or reserved. Obviously this is subject to change.

My wife says she saw the set today in Linen's and Things. Probably full retail.

We had a partial shipment last week that didn't even cover the preorders.  Likewise, received a partial shipment of the Lincoln Logs set today.  We've also been getting in Superstreets track but no sets, cars, etc.

Grandaughter was over tonight for Halloween. She really liked the new Loco & tender. Put it through all the paces. Ran very smooth and a great puller Big Smile [:D]....

Ran for another two hours today! Seems to be running faster. Aso starts out with less power. Guess it needed a break in period?

Roger, you must be a dealer of some sort. Yeah, the only items shipping are a couple of coin cars, a couple of dump log cars and some of the individual pieces of SuperStreets track.

It's kind of funny in light of Nick Ladd's statements as to how much effort Lionel is putting into the K-Line by Lionel product line that utterly so little is available even now. The S-2 switchers were announced for May delivery and now are November. Nearly the entire first volume catalog now has November/Decenmber shipping dates. So I would well imagine the March '08 shipping dates on many of the second volume K-Lionel products is wrong and will probably be much later.

There have been a number of schedule delays on the K-Lionel products. Even items scheduled for October don't seem to have been shipped yet. Just makes me wonder how serious Lionel really is about the K-Line product line if the overwhelming majority of scheduled products are not even out yet. And right now is the time for them to be in stock already on dealer shelves.

Brian - since I'm retired I work part time at the local Lionel dealer here in town.  He was eager to have someone with a knowledge of trains, layout construction, etc. and able to watch the store when he is away doing shows.

My two sets shipped today from Trainz.Smile [:)]  I ordered very late (September I believe).  Unfortunately they are going to my US address and not England.    Sad [:(]  Perhaps I will get back to the states to pick it up for next Halloween.  Since I ordered so late and am still recieving my sets perhaps supply will not be an issue this year?  Question [?]
