Bad Armature...?
Posted by pgtr on Monday, October 8, 2007 10:44 PM

I have been probing around this engine (PW #221 vertical shaft motor) for some time for a mysterious short. I suspect it may be the armature which I have removed. How do I test it and what if any options do I have for repairing or replacing it. I believe it's part # 1055-118.

thanks

Hello Pgtr!     Try the Train Tender Website & the Fellows name there is Jeff Kane. I think that I saw one of those armatures on his parts list once & he is an excellent source for parts also with same day shipping. You cannot go wrong with him. Take Care.
