I just received an eBay purchase. It didn't run. I took the engine apart and lubed everything with LaBelle 108 oil, ran her arround my modest track for about an hour. Reinstalled the engine's shell, took a little canister off the bottom of one of the passenger cars so the trucks would engage the rails, disassembled and reassembled the coupler on the rear of the tender so that the coupler achieved the corrrect height and she's running. You folks are right it's NOISEY!!! But, beautiful and fun. I only wish I had the resources to afford an "O" scale.

Regards,
Bill

I'm guessing you meant this for the Classic Toy Trains forum...or one of the Model Railroader magazine forums?? Smile [:)] This is Classic Trains magazine forum, about real trains c.1920-1975.
