Love the contrast between the standard gauge RDG box car and narrow gauge steam locomotive on the EBT. Were there other narrow gauge railroads who did this as well?
Probably. I'm not that far from the EBT here in PA. Sadly, it's not operating now, though I've seen what's left of the tracks.
On the plus side, I've ridden behind steam twice on the Everett Railroad, and two mixed trains on the Oil Creek and Titusville. Strasburg is further away, but I visited once. Didn't see the 4-8-0.
I have ridden the EBT many times in the past (not the whole line!) & poked around in the yards when nobody was around. Wonder how many ghosts will be around on halloween? Hope there will be a good resolution to bring the EBT back.
Looking at the photo, I was wondering if the gentleman in the right hand seat was enjoying the ride on what looks like a nice day!
