3482 milk car

When I activate the unload on the remote controller track the doors on the 3482 car open and the figure comes out but there are no milk cans being thrown. The cans are in the car but are not coming down to the figure. I can see a can in the slot at the top of the car behind the post when I open the hatch but it seems to be held in place there. Can anyone suggest a solution?
