Rock Island Help

Any members who have knowledge of the RI @ Wichita, I need your help. Thus far no one has been able to come up w/ answers. When the rr closed in '80, Katy took over from KS to TX a couple months later. In contrast, they closed down for most of '82 before resuming service. During these mainline service gaps, which rr provided industry switching in Wichita? Was Frisco/BN involved in this? My main focus is on  who switched the huge Cargill soybean plant that required two switches daily. After the '79 strike, rumor goes Cline yd was cut to just a 1st shift job M-F w/no wknd work. This does not sound correct as Cargill would have needed service on wknds. My guess is perhaps a 1st shift job that worked everyday. Does anyone know of this? I did not get to see the RI to Katy transsistion in '80 thus I hold no knowledge of what happened over there.
