Interesting are the 4-wheel boxcars seen in the video. I recall that most had a covered platform at one end. I crossed Switzerland several times in the 1970s. There was a boxcar like that at every station that we passed. I wonder if the Swiss railways still use them, they seem to be gone everywhere else, replaced by longer cars with sliding covers and container trains. One thing I will never forget is being at the Brenner Pass station in 1978 and seeing a steam loco switching cars in the yard. My friends thought I was nuts when I grabbed my camera and ran down the passageway to get a picture of it.

G'day Steve,
The train club might enjoy this!
John was the VR photographer, and I know him.  He was seconded to Swiss Railways to make videos for driving simulators, having done this first in Victoria.

Interesting video - my problem with videos from 'across the pond' is not being able to read the signals ... even on videos from the US - signals don't display themselves as prominently in videos as they do in real life (I have a dash cam - under some sun conditions it is hard to distinguish what traffic lights are displaying.).

Never too old to have a happy childhood!

Note details of the truck ferry, seen almost immediately out of the initial station.

If modelers did the scene from about 9:40 they would probably be accused of cramming too much into a scene...
