This should connect the current gap of CTC between cutoff tower in the Menominee River Valley West of the Amtrak Station and the track just East of the Milwaukee Amtrak station. It should increase the arrival and departure speed of the Empire Builder from the current yard limits crawl as it exits and enters from the West. They still need to connect CTC through Muskego Yard and upgrade the tracks there for frieght train holding but that is going to cost approx $55 million and is probably a future item.
